This beautiful wedding. When you have the privilege of photographing the wedding of a dear friend, it is one of the greatest blessings that makes everything worth it. Krystal and I met in my first few weeks of living in Alabama. Her family goes to church with us, and we’ve had the extra special blessing of watching Michael and Krystal’s relationship grow. The first time a picture of some flowers arriving at her workplace showed up on Facebook, we slid up to her after church and got the sweet scoop.
Now, months later, we were able to capture one of the fairy tale moments of their love story. Everything about this wedding was so them. From the handcrafted bouquets to the blue dress accents and promise ring, the day was perfectly celebrating their journey to this moment.
Enter a chilly January day. The hustle and bustle faded in the background as this dream of a day started to take place. Their wedding was at the gorgeous Monte Sano Lodge and filled with rustic charm.
I really loved the blue accent on Krystal’s dress, which perfectly matched these gorgeous shoes!
This pretty ring on the left is part of an Irish tradition. A girl wears it as a promise on her left hand until its moved to the other hand to make way for an engagement ring! Love it!
The beautiful bride! She is gorgeous now, but she absolutely lit up when she was with Michael.
This is what makes that girl sparkle. :)
We love First Looks for so many reasons. Theirs was one of the sweetest! I was totally teary-eyed behind that camera.
I think they totally forgot we were even there.
These beautiful girls were so full of sunshine and laughter. You can’t get much better than that!
My sweet friends! Krystal and her sisters are just a blessing.
They created their own stunning bouquets. So cute and so perfect for this wedding!
All the girls had a charm that represented something they loved. Yes, that is a dragon. :)
These guys were just as fabulous and hilarious as our girls!
They had some wishing stones by the guest book for guests to sign and write well wishes on. What an amazing piece of decor to put into your first new home!
Oh, so many reasons I love these girls.
This day was beautiful in every way.
We wrapped them in blankets to keep the January chill off for a few minutes. They are so cute!
A perfect reception wouldn’t be complete without our amazing friend Kandy with Your Perfect Party!
We loved every minute of this reception!
I glanced away from the adorable dancing kids to see the bride’s father quietly dancing with one of his daughters in the next room. I melted into a puddle at this moment.
We are so blessed by these two!
Krystal and Michael, we wish you such an amazing life together. You love God and love each other, and we pray so many blessings for you two! Thank you for letting us catch these moments as we celebrated with you!
*hugs*
