We photograph a lot of weddings at Meadow Creek Farm each year, and it’s so fun to see how special and unique each one is. Katherine and Ryne brought a layer of elegance to their summer wedding vibe with sophisticated navy and romantic blush as their color palette. Their details had elegant simplicity with just the right touch of rustic tucked in.

Katherine, Ryne, and their families have been so great to work with throughout these months. Katherine and Ryne have the best sense of humor! They made the wedding day even more fun for us with the silly poses they wanted to try. Between them and their bridal party, we were laughing and taking lots of spontaneous pictures throughout the entire day. The world is just a little brighter and happier with those two in it!

And when Katherine’s mom called us the Chick Fil A of photography and her dad quoted Dale Carnegie to me at the reception, we knew they were definitely our kind of people.

Every time we photograph a military wedding, we’re honored. Katherine and Ryne had a sword detail at their ceremony, and the camaraderie between Ryne and his fellow military guys was really special. Thank you to our military!

My Favorite Detail

Definitely the veil. Katherine’s wore her grandmother’s veil, which was also worn by her mother. What a legacy that veil has! Because of the veil’s delicateness, she saved it for the ceremony and sunset portraits.

One of my favorite things about the veil were the small tears in the cloth. It really reminded me of how lasting relationships are. Material things rip and fade, but love only grows stronger and brighter. Relationships grow deeper and legacies grow sweeter. Those tiny holes are a symbol of love through the passing of time and woven through generations, and I think it’s so incredibly special.

The Danishes

Although the veil won out as my favorite detail, I couldn’t let this blog post be written without savoring the memory of Katherine’s dad’s famous Danish pastries. Ooooh, they were good. We heard raving reviews about them long before the wedding day, and they did not disappoint. So yummy!

We took a picture of the Wedding Danish Team after the ceremony, and I think they all deserve a huge shout out for all the hours of loving labor they put into creating such a treat for Katherine and Ryne’s celebration.
