Matt + Virginia’s Southern Backyard Wedding! – Grant Alabama Wedding Photography

From the very first moment we met Matt and Virginia, we were smitten. They are one of the sweetest, down to earth, and joyful couples we know, and we were thrilled that they chose us to be their wedding photographers. After their super-fun engagement session at Samford University last year, we couldn’t wait to get them in front of the camera again at the wedding! Their smiles are brilliant and they just light each other up when they’re together. Virginia chose to have the wedding at her church in Grant, followed by a reception at her parents’ absolutely gorgeous farm. The rain held off, and every detail of this amazing wedding was perfect.

The flower girls helped Virginia put on her shoes. They were absolutely adorable!

Matt and Virginia wanted to have a quiet moment to pray together before the wedding. I have so many favorite parts of this wedding, but this is definitely near the top!

The setting for Matt and Virginia’s reception was fun, classy, and peaceful! This farm was absolutely stunning and the perfect place for the festivities to carry on after the wedding!
This food. Margaret at The Chef Next Door created the most brilliantly delicious menu! The food looks amazing and tasted even better. *Sigh of happiness*
This shrimp and grits bar was so deliciously southern and wonderful.
Piper and Leaf treated guests to their ah-mazing tea bar! It was the beyond perfect touch to make the reception out of this world. I think between the two of us, we sampled every flavor and couldn’t get enough of its yumminess!
These cakes by Old Vienna Bakery were beautiful and tasty! Matt is in pharmacy school – the prescription bottle groom’s cake was an epic choice!
It wouldn’t be a party without this cute little puppy dog!!
There is nothing like some Piper and Leaf tea!
A shout out to Kandy with Your Perfect Party for keeping the party super fun and full of foot-tapping, just-want-to-jump-in-there-and-dance music going all night!
The ended the night with the most beautiful wishing lanterns floating into the night sky…
