Indian Creek Greenway Engagement Session // Huntsville Alabama Wedding Photographers

It had been a cold, rainy March. And a cold, rainy April. We had more rescheduled sessions due to rain than any year ever. Our winter clothes still took precedence in the closet, and I almost had to squeeze my eyes tightly to remember what bright blue skies looked like.

Then one day, the sun came back! The temps hit 70 and my heart was singing.

To add harmony to the song my heart was singing: this was the day of Marissa & Jared’s engagement session!

It’s been awhile since we did a session at Indian Creek Greenway, but oh! It was dreamy! When Marissa and I were talking about location options, she knew she wanted something more natural than the downtown scene. Instead of heading south to the fan-favorite mountains, we decided to meet at Indian Creek.

Once you see the pictures from this session, you won’t be surprised to see my swinging in a hammock by the river next time you head out to the greenway. Dreamy! The soft green spring buds on the trees created a fairyland scene. Yellow flowers dotted the edges of the path in perfect harmony with the sunshine.

And all this is just icing on the cake to Marissa and Jared. Sweet souls! We knew at the very first coffee date that we were going to absolutely love them, and how right we were. Their genuine kindness is as warm as the sunshine. The way they light up around each other reminded me again why we do this thing called wedding photography! Capturing the bright love between two really special people is a joy, a blessing, and an honor.
