I’ll never forget Maddie’s email inquiry. She knew that we’re totally into coffee and she totally sympathized with the challenges of being tall. She loved that we share our faith and build real relationships with our couples. Plus she liked our work. Always a bonus! ;)
Ummm….sign us up? Connecting with a bride who appreciates so many of the same things we do (AND who has followed us long enough to know about them all!) is such a fun thing – and we’ve just been enjoying getting to know Maddie, Russell, and Maddie’s family ever since!
Russell is studying physical therapy in Nashville, so we took the opportunity of his fall break (fall weekend break, anyway!) to meet them for their engagement session at Hays Nature Preserve. And this session was just as incredible as we dreamed it would be with these two!
October has been really warm this year, and Maddie and Russell’s session landed on one of the very first cool days we had! It still didn’t quite classify as “fall” weather, but it was close enough! SUCH an amazing evening to be enjoying the beauty of the nature preserve with this sweet couple!

As your engagement draws further and further to its inevitable end, I cannot help but feel a growing appreciation for your relationship together. You really do care for one another, and you’ve fought to make each other a priority – you’ve proved it by dating for 4 years long distance.
Maddie, pledgeship has shown me so much about what it means to serve and care about others over the last 8 weeks. What it also showed me is how much you have served and cared for me as a younger brother over the last 20 years. I have never even come close to reciprocating all the things you have done for me. I have always taken for granted that you would always be there for me, but now more and more I see just how lucky I am to have you as a sister.
Congratulations on a lovely engagement, – Russell, I couldn’t be happier to have you as a brother-in-law. I really am looking forward to our relationship growing. Thank you for always loving my sister well and treating her with respect.
I cannot wait to see how y’all do – I pray y’all live many joyful years together, and remember to keep your eyes set on the Lord. The Church needs couples like you to support it and love its members. Y’all don’t just need The Church, it needs you! Awesome couples like yourselves are hard to come by.
